About

This is where I share my stories.

I was born and raised in New York City, and after many years in the advertising industry, retired early. Moving to San Francisco, I started painting again. But what surprised me the most was that I began to write. My essays turned into a few short stories and then the beginnings of a fictional memoir.

Nine stories have been published in various literary journals and my first novel, The Last Daughter of Elizabeth Light, was published in the fall of 2016. A collection of linked stories about invisible people will be published next year. I’m currently working on a second novel.

Today I’m living on the North Shore of Massachusetts, where the light and the seasons provide a backdrop to my life and ever growing extended family. You can view my paintings here. This work has been shown across the northeast and is in collections around the country, many paintings have found homes as far away as Australia.

My inspiration for writing has always come from listening.

Telling stories is magical.

    1. Thanks Amy. I had a painting at the Galatea Gallery in Boston this summer. Nothing on the Cape or Western MA yet. I’m looking forward to reading your blog updates as I just turn my own research into a novel…. true stories are inspiring.
